Zepha Skin V2 [Rainmeter] by ani07789 Zepha Skin V2 [Rainmeter] by ani07789
I've taken a bit of time to clean up a few of the graphics and layout from V1 and also added support for loading each panel separately as an alternative to the Full or Mini versions of the whole bar.

If your using the Full, Drives2, Drives6, Search or Mini skins then make sure you set up the Variables in the .ini files correctly. Full and CPU skins both require CoreTemp to be installed to function correctly.

Be glad to hear any feedback, or any pointers on my code as I'm just getting into the swing of things.

Made with Rainmeter version 2.4.0.1623

Beautiful skin! Here's my tweaked version of it with an application dock that I wrote up real quick. Only mod I did to the skin was changing the Wikipedia search bar to a search bar that I can use to easily search all the files on my computer.

anyone figured out how to edit so that the drives show the status of a removable drive... ie when i plug in my thumb drive it shows the used/free space of that drive, that drive is the E: drive so it should show since drive 2 in the variables is E:.... looked all down in the //Drives// section and could not figure out how to do it

Looks very nice. What I'm missing though is a 24h clock and GPU load and temp. I guess you'd have to use SpeedFan for that. Could you do that? :D

Is there a possibility to change that white circular period at the clock widget from 60seconds do 24 hours? One day period would be great, if starting on bottom center that would be perfect.

beautiful skin. thanks. one question, the trash seems to lag? is there a refresh time limit on it? I am always having to reload the trash skin to have it properly reflect my recycle bin. Any ideas? Thanks again

Also, the network meter seems to be innacurate? It never shows my correct download speed, actually it shows it about half my speed. any way to adjust it?

Here is version of the Network skin that scales and displays speed based on your max up/down speeds, specified in the ini file in bits. [link] Thanks Zepha for the great skin. My desktop is now a bit classier because of you.

Sorry I don't have any plans on adding any music player controls at the moment as I would have to build skins for each music player, some of which I don't have installed, to keep the skin compatible for as many people as possible.

This is awesome, may I ask if there's a simple way to essentially making everything a fraction smaller? For instance having the whole thing maybe 75% of the size?

Greetings from the UK as well :)

Sorry making a size change would take a considerable amount of work going thru and changing the size and position of pretty much every meter by hand, I have not got any global scale variable set up that could handle that. Thanks for the interest though, if it helps there is a 'mini' version included which is shorter and could fit in smaller spaces if that is your issue.

my drives c: and d: free disk space are different in the theme of the drives. my c: have 147gb free and in the theme the free disk space is 84gb only. hope you can answer my problem. i also tried debugging the .ini file in Drive2.ini. everycode is correct and passing of variables are correct, i dont know what is the problem. thank you.

I'm not quite following what your issue is but as I understand what your saying, the readout of the drive sizes in Drive2.ini is showing an incorrect value. The value shown by my skin is the USED space on the drive and not the free space, so in the example you gave if your C:/ is actually 200Gb total size, and you have used 84Gb, leaving 147GB free space then this would mean my code is working correctly as it is displaying the amount of used space (84GB). Is this possibly the confusion?

[Variables]
; Variables declared here can be used later on between two # characters (e.g. #MyVariable#).
fontName=Arial
textSize=8
colorBar=235,170,0,255
colorText=255,255,255,205
maxDownload=3276800
MaxUpload=3276800
; Set maxDownload and maxUpload to your maximum download and upload speed in bits.
; To convert kilobits, megabits, kilobytes, and megabytes into bits, go to www.google.com
; and search for something like "10 megabytes in bits".

Why have you posted the Variables from a different skin here? This would change nothing if added to my skin as I don't use any of those variables in any of my code.

Because you said that you were "not aware of any way to get Rainmeter to tell you what your maximum speed is without a fair amount of code or a plugin of some sort". I was showing you, and the poster that it is actually possible to get a maximum speed with very little coding. I've also looked at your skin, and found that it could be incorporated rather easily to get the desired result, so I thought it was worth posting.

If I was in error, I apologize and you can deleted or hide my post as irrelevant information.

Ok, without getting too technically into the coding, what you posted there are "Variables" which are typed in by hand, they don't actually do anything by themselves, they are just numbers that can be called by the code later on. It would have to be dependent on every user opening the .ini and inputting their correct maximum b/s (not very user friendly). What I was saying is that there is no way to do this dynamically, to have Rainmeter work out the number by itself through the use of a "Measure" (the part of the code that finds out all the information that Rainmeter displays).

As a side note, the maximum speed was never what my skin was intended to display anyway, it is designed to show the current speed (which it does), as I understand it chRRRRis was unclear on what my skin was displaying, not that it was inaccurate (unless I've understood him incorrectly).

So while you are correct that the maximum download speed could be gotten from a variable that was set by the user in the format you showed, it would also then have to be implemented into a Measure or a Meter somewhere in the skin for it to be displayed or used in any way. So the variable alone is worthless, and I was also confused why you pasted the entire section of variables from another skin and not just the relevant lines.

I'm going to assume u mean Network.ini not .txt and by "real" download speed you are talking about your maximum speed available from your ISP. How the network code functions is that it returns your current speed not the maximum. I'm not aware of any way to get Rainmeter to tell you what your maximum speed is without a fair amount of code or a plugin of some sort, this information isn't available to measure because it isn't a figure that is available on the computer anywhere, its just a number that your ISP says you should get. My code as it is will only show your 6mb/s if you were actually downloading at that speed at that moment.

Thanks. I'm currently working on other things but if/when I do come back to this skin then I'm sure I could get weather and gmail working. Calender functionality I'm still looking into as the code for that appears to be more complex.

I went ahead and made a reddit topic discussing drag and drop in Rainmeter. I've also somewhat advertised your Skin.

[link]

There's a program called DropIt that I configured to move dropped items into the Recycle Bin.

I've also made a bit of changes reguarding the color scheme.
